Dissemination, Education and User Support

The key objective of the dissemination, education, and user support program is to get the knowledge gained from our work out to manufacturers in a usable form, as quickly as possible. The second major objective is to increase the information experience level of consumers and professionals so that we have a broader base of individuals in the field, knowledgeable in the area of universal accessible design of telecommunications. Our program targets government, telecommunications industry, assistive technology companies and service providers, researchers and potential researchers, employers, and the general public.

Dissemination activities include:

• articles in professional journals
• information and demonstration videos
• key resource and reference materials available via the web
• information response line for our research focus areas
• workshops and seminars on universal design of telecommunication and information technologies
• undergraduate, graduate, and post doctoral education.
