Tangible Benefits of a
Muni WiFi Network
Emergency Response

and building blueprints in transit to emergency sites. In addition,
critical data and images can be transmitted prior to destination
arrival.
Security/Instant Data

data before entering a dangerous situation, giving them access to
a potential safety advantage while helping them solve and fight
crimes. Portable or vehicle-mounted terminals will be used to check
license plates, display mug shots, send finger prints, file admin
reports, and more - all without requiring a time-wasting trip back
to the station. Investigations will move faster with on-the-spot
access to DMV files, warrants, arrest records, and other local,
state, and federal databases.
Education/Distance Learning
Students will be enabled to connect anytime, anywhere,
to information as they commute between classes, around campus and
even back to their homes through the broadband wireless network.

and to share limited computing resources through the computer labs.
Distance learning will be provided through the infrastructure for
students and adults to take advanced placement courses and continuing
adult education.

reap the benefits of Telemedicine applications and services through
the network.
Business Recruiting
New; Relocation; Retention

of the new Internet Economy. Increased revenue statistics are impressive.
